Professional Theatre for Families, an arm of North Coast Rep, was created in 2011 to bring the excitement of live theatre to children and their families.

Each season we strive to bring favorite children’s stories to life. Our professional actors will keep both children and adults entertained and their often quirky interpretations are guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s faces!

In this world of electronics, with most kids only being exposed to TV and Movies for their storytelling experiences, it is vitally important that we introduce them to the wonder of LIVE THEATRE. The excitement it builds and the creativity it encourages will stay with them for a lifetime. Live theatre allows your children to express themselves more fully and it is an opportunity to create some wonderful memories for the entire family.

North Coast Rep brings Frog and Toad to Life! Arnold Lobel ‘s beloved characters hop from the page to the stage in this version of Robert and Willie Reale ‘s Tony-nominated musical. This whimsical show follows two great friends — the eternally optimistic Frog and the rather grumpy Toad — through four, fun-filled seasons.

Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, eat cookies and learn life lessons along the way. These unlikely best friends come to understand it is their differences that make them unique and special. Whimsical and charming, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures all seasons.
