Theatre School
Ongoing Classes
The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep offers year round theatre classes for children ages 7 to 18. These classes help students improve their communication and self-confidence as well as improve their technical acting ability and skills. In addition to our Fall, Winter, and Spring class sessions, we offer day camp during the summer months.
You can begin our enrollment process either online, by calling our box office, or by mailing or faxing in our registration form located in our Theatre School @ North Coast Rep Brochure.
Fall Session: September 26 - November 14, 2009
Winter Session: January 30 - March 20, 2010
Classes are held on Saturdays and include 8 classes per session. All classes may be repeated. Fees include one free child's ticket to the current Theatre School production and a t-shirt. For information on our refund policy, please click here.
Creative Drama I: Imagination & Exploration
Ages: 7-11
Saturdays 9:40 - 11am
Fee: $200 (handling fee included)
This course is designed to explore the imagination. Through improvisational play, we use the voice, body and individual creative energy for self expression, all while working towards telling a story. This class builds sensory perception and self-confidence.

Creative Drama II: Storytelling
Ages: 8-11
Saturdays 11:20-12:40 pm
Fee: $200 (handling fee included)
Further exploration of creative imagination structured within the context of story telling. Using improvisation, as well as common stories, we create story concepts and ideas. Techniques such as staging, projection, blocking, and the rules of theatre are explored.

Acting for the Stage I
Ages: 12-17
Saturdays 1:10-2:30 pm
Fee: $200 (handling fee included)
Working with improvisation and scene study, actors begin the rudimentary development of character. Using voice, body, and speech, actors begin script work. We begin to explore the actor’s tools, all while strengthening their command of language and physical awareness.

Acting for the Stage II: Styles & Forms
Ages: 13-17
Saturdays 2:40-4:00 pm
Fee: $200 (handling fee included)
Working with a chosen monologue, young performers refine their skills at character development. Each session, we focus on a specific genre of theatre whether it be Shakespeare, Greek, Modern, or Classical literature.
