We’re a busy place.
Each year we create and/or produce seven mainstage productions, holiday shows, numerous Variety Nights, and play-readings, which is enough to keep any theatre company busy! But throughout the year we also have social, fund and friend-raising events. Come join us!
North Coast Rep’s Event Fundraising is another way we raise philanthropic revenue. The volunteer Gala Committee prepares a festive evening with auctions, fine food and wine, and special entertainment to create a one-of-a-kind event. Through the generosity of table sponsors, auction bidders and event sponsors, North Coast Rep raises more than a third of our total annual budget for donated income at this event.
North Coast Rep is a non-profit theatre. We rely on contributions to support our mission. Ticket revenue alone does not sustain great art. We are fortunate that many San Diego theatre lovers demonstrate their appreciation for the quality and diversity of our productions by making tax-deductible gifts.
At Opening Night (first Saturday in the schedule) for each production, patrons are invited to stay after the performance for a special reception with the actors, designers and Director of the show. We feature a complimentary light meal and drinks. This is an opportunity for the North Coast Rep family to celebrate with our artists as they commence the run of their play.
Shortly after each play goes into rehearsal, Artistic Director David Ellenstein moderates a “get to know you” with the cast and director of the upcoming production. This typically takes place on a Saturday morning just prior to a scheduled rehearsal. Volunteers, donors and patrons join David and the artists in a Question/Answer session.
