Peril in the Alps
By: Steven Dietz
Based in part on "Poirot Investigates" by Agatha Christie
Directed by: Steven Dietz
The twin sister of Captain Hasting’s wife, Dulcie, has been kidnapped — and Hercule Poirot rightly expects not only extortion to follow, but murder! Using elements of Agatha Christie’s “Poirot Investigates,” Steven Dietz creates a sequel to his wildly popular Murder on the Links, taking us on a thrilling and dangerous trip to the snow-capped Alps where the famed Belgian detective may finally meet his match. Six actors bring to life dozens of eccentric characters and clever suspects in this diabolically funny comic mystery romp. Don’t miss it!
A lighthearted comic caper and a terrific cast, PERIL IN THE ALPS is entertaining, funny and well-staged.
- The San Diego Union-Tribune
Tremendous performances by the 6 cast members selected for Dietz’s play taking on the roles of 29 different characters. With quick costume changes, voice variations for the characters, and mannerisms these performers move in and out on the stage and are hilarious. Bravo to all of them for presenting a fun play to watch and enjoy.
- The Vista Press and The North County Daily Star
Poirot is brilliantly and hilariously played by NCRT’s terrific Omri Schein. But he’s not alone. There’s a fab cast of six – several old-timers and some new faces – that play some 29 roles among them and all are just having so darned much fun that you can’t help having your own gigglefest. Whatever else you do, don’t miss this hilarious show.
