LESTER BARRIE (Headliner) is a Southern California based comedian who makes frequent appearances at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach California. His second comedy special “A Fan of Marriage” will be released on the Dry Bar platform in late 2024 or early 2025, and his first stand-up comedy special “Super Saint” is still available on Amazon. In 2024, Lester’s comedy was self-branded as “One Laughter.” This branding points to the idea that laughter connects all of humanity regardless of language, culture, or country of origin, and the joy from laughter has the power to heal the soul.
SETH LAWRENCE (Featured Act) comes from a loving family in Orem, Utah. He went to law school and worked as an attorney in North Carolina. He is married with four kids. So, how did he end up in stand-up comedy? Funny story...In 2018, Seth was a finalist in the US Comedy Contest. In 2021, he worked as a host for the “World Series of Comedy,” performing in clubs all over the country. You can hear little clips of him on “Family USA” and “Jeff & Larry's Comedy Roundup,” if you're lucky. Seth also recorded a Dry Bar special in 2024.
NATASHA COLLIER (Opening Act) got her start in Santa Cruz, California at 19 years old. Rising quickly in the bay area comedy scene, she has since gone on to perform comedy all over the country and world. She has performed at the “Santa Cruz Comedy Festival” and “Savage Henry Comedy Festival” and was the winner of the 2018 Pink Flamingo Comedy Contest and placed second in the 2019 Lilly Macs Comedy Competition. Currently, Natasha is a regular at all the major clubs in San Diego.
CANDYCE RAIFORD (Musical Act) from Winchester, CA is a former clarinetist of the First Marine Division Band. She specializes in playing cello, piano, and violin to name a few. Her most notable performances consist of performing for the cast of The Sons of Anarchy, and the Finding Fame book launch party with VIP Ignite. Candyce performs along the coast of California at weddings, birthday parties and baby showers. When not performing she trains as a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and studies acting in between.
MARK CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE (Host) commands the stage with an act that is multi-dimensional – and with many moods. His professional actor background shows through, and he possesses an intuitive ability to allow for interaction with the audience when it proves to enrich the surge of material. It is obvious that MCL is in complete control of his comedic choices. His gifts of perfecting inflections of dialect and making fluid facial expressions display his mastery of acting. MCL believes strongly in the “storytelling” style of comedy – and, throughout the evening, he regales the audience with comedic vignettes and increasingly honest and earthy material. MCL has a very interesting ability to be both at ease and down-to earth, yet also pointedly caustic and quasi-irate in manner – recalling the frankness of Lenny Bruce. There are many different comedians with signature styles – like Carol Burnett with her physical comedy, or Woody Allen with his intellectual style. But what’s fascinating about Mark Christopher Lawrence is that he has the versatility to combine all the assets of the comedy giants – physical agility, verbal creativity, spontaneity, and comic timing – into one unique comedy showcase.
